Job introduction

I work in the Manufacturing Management Section of the Manufacturing Department, where I am responsible for arranging materials to make products to be sold to customers and managing the entire production line. If we forget to place an order, we can't manufacture, so it's nerve-wracking. Also, when a problem occurs, we act as a liaison office to find a solution, relay it to the manufacturing site, and coordinate with related departments. This is an important department.

When I joined the company, I focused on the size of the company and the convenience of commuting. I think the reason I've been here for over 30 years is because I've been blessed with the people around me, and I've been able to build harmonious, easy-to-work-with relationships throughout the company. There are over 80 people in the manufacturing department, some of whom like to spend time alone and others who like to spend time with large groups of people, so I hope that everyone can feel comfortable in their own environment. I act as a go-between and talk to people who seem to get along well with each other to create a comfortable workplace.

The work is designed to allow smooth skill development. First, you learn by watching the work of your seniors, then you become able to process things on your own, then you take charge of the setup and become a manager, and then you improve your skills by helping other processors.

In the manufacturing department, there are many employees and part-timers of child-rearing age, and they can take time off for things like school sports days and school visits. Senior employees also take time off, so I think it's a company where requests for holidays are easily granted. It's easy to talk to people about things other than work, and it's a company where you can value both work and your private life.
Also, at work, the parts I make are installed in cars around me and are used in my friends' cars, so I feel a sense of accomplishment in being involved in manufacturing, and I think that this also motivates me at work.

I work in the quality assurance department, where I inspect the products made by the manufacturing department. I operate inspection machines to inspect products to see if they meet the standards listed in the standard chart, for example by measuring the size of holes. There are many different types of inspections, and I check all products that are shipped.

I joined the company because I had a referral and wanted a better environment in terms of salary, vacation, and other conditions compared to my previous job. What I try to do at work is to talk a lot with the people around me, always communicate well, and create an environment where it is easy to ask what I want to know. I always try to work naturally, happily, laughing, and in a relaxed, good atmosphere, and the people around me are all nice, so it's an easy environment to work in.

The company has an "in-house qualification" system, and only employees who pass the exam can be in charge of measurement. I joined the company with no experience, so compared to when I joined, the level of skills now is completely different. At first, I couldn't even use a computer, but I learned how to read blueprints, how to measure, and how to operate machines, and now I can operate three-dimensional measuring devices and image measuring devices. In the future, I would like to be able to not only operate them, but also write programs. I was able to enjoy my work while being taught by the people around me, and I am really glad that I worked for this company.

We are very happy that Sanyo Manufacturing has been evaluated as having "zero defects" in regular quality evaluations from customers, and that the quality of our products is good. When you hear the name "Quality Assurance Department," you might imagine a stiff and rigid image, but we place importance on communication, introduce rational reforms so that everyone can enjoy their work, and create an environment where members can make the most of their strengths.
In addition, many of our employees are raising children, and we feel at ease knowing that the company will support parents and children, such as by returning home immediately if a child is not feeling well. Let's have fun working together while talking about various things!

In the Engineering Department, I am in charge of shipping materials, molds, and other parts overseas. It is a nerve-wracking job to ensure that the delivery address is not mistaken, but I feel a sense of accomplishment in being involved in such important work. In order to ship the products that our customers order and that we make together as a team on time, I try to work carefully every day, and I also make sure not to miss any emails or forget to send anything.

At my previous company, I was in the manufacturing department, but I was interested in management work and joined the company because I thought I could utilize my experience and knowledge of press work. I always try to do my work carefully and reliably. If there is something I don't understand, I consult my superiors and proceed only after the doubts are resolved. The whole company has a friendly atmosphere where you can talk about anything, which is very helpful as it makes it easier to communicate with the people on site during shipping work.

When I first joined the company, I wasn't very good with computers, but my superiors taught me carefully and I improved my skills, and now I can work without any problems. In the future, I would like to gain more experience in dealing with customers, increase my skills, set goals, and contribute to the company. I would like to improve my management skills by keeping to the number of orders and delivery dates and ensuring the shipment of high-quality products.

The Engineering Department is responsible for final shipments, and it is an important job to protect the last stronghold of the company. We have close ties with customers and are the guardians of quantities, products, and delivery dates. "Zero defects during delivery" is the pride of the Engineering Department and is a rewarding job.

The Technical Department receives requests from the Sales Department, designs, processes parts, and assembles them to manufacture dies. I joined the company hoping to work in design. It would be difficult to be in charge of design without knowing the actual work, so I will increase my knowledge by working on pressing in the Manufacturing Department and processing and assembling parts in the Technical Department, and next year I will be in charge of design.
It is a very fulfilling course where you can learn how to use a press, how to use molds for production, and the features of processing methods.

I joined the company because I had worked part-time in the food and beverage department of a Sanyo Seisakusho group company for four years as a student, learned about Sanyo Seisakusho during my job search, and became interested in design work. The Sanyo group company where I worked part-time for four years was very comfortable, and I thought that affiliated companies with the same corporate culture would also be comfortable, and I was right. Also, although I did not study design as a student, it seemed interesting and I was interested in it.
Before I started working here, when I heard about manufacturing, I imagined people working alone, but after joining the company, I realized that there was a lot of time to communicate with people both within and outside of the department, and that the whole company was working together.

If there is a mistake in the design, the product will be different from what was intended, and it is difficult to identify the cause during assembly, so it is very important to check any doubts in advance. I would like to be able to create designs that are satisfactory to everyone involved in the mold.

The automotive industry is currently in the midst of a once-in-a-century transformation, and our Engineering Department is working on projects that have never been done before, aiming for a secure future 100 or 30 years from now. It's truly the beginning.
